Age Restrictions
It is against the law to sell or supply wine to persons under 18 years of age in the Republic of Ireland. Our acceptance of any order is based on the purchaser being at least 18 years old.
Upon delivery, if our couriers are in doubt of the age of the recipient, they are required to request proof of age. In the event that this is not satisfied they are not permitted to leave the wine. So to avoid any potential delivery problems:
- Please make sure an adult is at home to accept delivery of your order. Alternatively, we can arrange delivery to your work address if you provide this information at check out.
- If asked for proof of age, please don't be offended. We have a responsibility to comply with legal safeguards for anyone under age.
- Our couriers will accept An Garda Síochána National Age Cards, passports, Garda-issued residency cards and photo driving licences as proof of age.
If there is an issue with your delivery, please contact us and we'll work with you to resolve it. We sincerely apologise for any under-estimation of age that may occur during a delivery, however flattering this may be to the recipient!
