Almost purple in colour, La Diablesse reveals aromas of raspberry, with a touch of spice. Pencil shavings, typical of Chinon Cabernet Franc, are also evident on the nose. The palate is concentrated, fat, long, with soft tannins and a pleasant, rounded finish.
The fantastic structure of this wine means it will go well with an array of foods, including the traditional Sunday roast, or simply a good selection of goats cheeses.
This wine is sourced from Cabernet Franc vines ranging from 40-80 years old, grown on soils made up mainly of clay and limestone. It is aged for 18 months in French oak and should drink well for at least 15 years from vintage if cellared properly.
