This medium bodied, fresh Chardonnay from Meursault in Burgundy has classic hints of flinty and chalky soil with nuances tones of nuts, cinnamon, honey and butter. Toasty minerals, spices, and white fruits are in abundance.
Match with rich poultry dishes in sauce. Goes particularly well with fattened goose liver, lobster and crawfish.
These Chardonnay vines, ranging between 20 and 30 years old, are grown on brown limestone soil in Côte de Beaune, between Meursault and Chassagne-Montrachet. Ageing lasts for 9 months in 30% new oak barrels.
This region continues to produce some of the world's best white wines thanks to the terroir and the vast experience and knowledge past down through time to today's generation of Burgundians.
